If you prefer not to drive your own vehicle to and from your entry point, we offer van shuttle service for you and your gear. Using this service also gives you the option to begin and end your trip at different locations. Prices shown are per van (maximum 9-passenger capacity), one way, for our outfitting customers.

Water Transportation To/From Wilderness Entry Points
Towboat transport is available to/from the locations listed below. With canoes secured on an overhead rack, people and their gear are transported by towboat to or from drop-off points along motorized routes. The cost for this service is in addition to any applicable land transportation charges, and requires minimum outfitting of canoe rentals from Way to Go Canoe Outfitters.

Burntside Lake to Crab Lake Portage: $30.00
Lake Vermilion to Trout Lake Portage: $40.00
Moose Lake to Ensign Lake (via Splash Lake): $30.00
Moose Lake to Birch Lake: $32.00
Moose Lake to Prairie Portage/Quetico Park: $34.00
Moose Lake to Washington Island: $120.00, plus Prairie Portage fees $16/canoe/passage
Moose Lake to Back Bay-Basswood Lake: $135.00, plus Prairie Portage fees $16/canoe/passage
Crane Lake to Lac La Croix—McAree, Maligne, Bottle Lakes: $230.00 (Minimum 4 people, unless grouped with others)

Transportation From/To Airports Before/After Your Canoe Trip
We recommend you rent a vehicle and drive to our base from one of the following three airports that serve northeastern Minnesota: Minneapolis-St Paul (MSP, 4.5-hour drive); Duluth International Airport (DLH, 2-hour drive); or Range Regional Airport, Hibbing, MN (HIB, 1.5-hour drive).
We offer van shuttle service for parties flying private aircraft into and out of the Ely Municipal Airport (ELO, 5-minutes from Way To Go Canoe Outfitters):
Free with our All-Inclusive Outfitting Package, and $20 per trip with Partial Outfitting.
